Our
philosophy
Together for you.
In order to be able to offer the best possible care, we divide the on-call duty for the births between the three of us. This has advantages for everyone: with two midwives on call at all times, we can ensure 1:1 care and still maintain our own rest periods. This enables us to provide you with continuous, responsible care from midwives with a lot of vigour!

As employed midwives in hospital, we were able to gain a lot of experience, but after a few years the time came when we wanted to reorient ourselves and understand our profession more holistically: as private midwifes, we can now provide expectant parents with individual and continuous care.

We practise a model of care that is based on the principle of informed choice: during the three fixed consultations during pregnancy, we get to know each other and give you a lot of knowledge so that you can make decisions without fear.

In addition to our medical expertise, us midwives are listeners, encourage and advise. Whether during pregnancy, labour and birth or in the postpartum period, we are at your side with professional advice and support. We empathise, remain calm and try to provide support.
With the conviction that birth is a positive and natural event, we adhere to our guiding principle: it is your birth, you are in control of your body.

It is important to us that people, regardless of their origin, sexuality or gender, are recognised for their individual ideas, wishes and needs. In plain language, this means for us that the hospital's clinical guidelines form the framework to which we adhere. However, nothing happens without your consent and we trust in the natural course of events. After all there is the German expression “to be in good hope” when expecting!
